If you're a fan of Whispering Angel – the perennially popular, whisper-pink, ultra-dry Provence rosé – then you'll no doubt have been eagerly awaiting the release of Château d’Esclans' 2022 vintage.
The good news is that the 2022 release repeats everything you love about previous vintages – it's pale and pure with notes of fresh citrus and red fruit on the nose, and has a palate that is round and well-balanced with great acidity and structure – but with a more creamy, textured and full body. This is a lovely, grown-up rosé.

BLEND AND ORIGIN
Whispering Angel 2022 is made from a blend of carefully selected grapes sourced from some of the best vineyards in the vicinity of the Esclans Valley and nearby in the Côtes de Provence region.
The 2022 vintage blends grenache, cinsault and vermentino grapes, which have been harvested at night to avoid the heat of the day and keep the crop fresh, to great effect.
The best free-run juices and press juices are fermented and aged in stainless steel with temperature control to preserve the wine's fruitiness.
Bâtonnage – the process of stirring up the lees – then adds a full body to the end result.
